Dr. Piccolo's Biography

Dr. Piccolo is an internationally renowned, board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who believes in providing highly personalized care through a deep understanding of each patient’s goals. His work is centered at the intersection of heart and science, allowing him to utilize cutting edge techniques to achieve remarkable results. He strives to make the surgical experience as comfortable as possible, keeping safety and satisfaction at the forefront. Dr. Piccolo’s passion continues to be fueled by the positive impact his work has on the lives of his patients.

Dr. Piccolo earned his medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Goiás in Goiânia, Brazil. He went on to complete the prestigious Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, serving as Chief Resident his final year. Following residency, Dr. Piccolo continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania in the esteemed Microsurgery Fellowship, learning alongside masters of the trade. Today, he brings his talents to the National Center of Plastic Surgery in McLean, Virginia.

Having grown up in Brazil, Dr. Piccolo has lived around the world and is a champion of cultural diversity. Speaking multiple languages helps him achieve an authentic understanding of patient wishes, preventing deeper meaning from being lost in translation. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and French.”
